When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data indicated in the feedback form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and the browser’s user agent string to facilitate spam detection.

Comments can be checked by an automated spam detection service.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data (GPS EXIF). Website visitors can download and extract all location data from the images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you can accept that your name, email address and website are stored in cookies. These cookies allow you not to have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies have a lifespan of one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also install several cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last two days, and screen options cookies last one year. If you select the “Remember me” option, your connection will be kept for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be deleted.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie does not include any personal data and simply indicates the ID of the item you have just modified. It expires after 1 day.

Only the administrators and solarium experts of Solarium Optimum Inc. have access to the data that you send us, and this, for the purpose of responding to you, only.

How long do we keep your data?

If you send a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognize and approve any subsequent comments instead of keeping them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if any), we also keep the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, modify or delete their personal information at any time (except that they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also view and edit this information.
